Payroll Associate

Job Requirements

The Payroll Associate is responsible for the weekly compiling and processing of in-house payroll for 600+ employees.

• Review weekly timesheets to ensure all employees are paid accurately in accordance with agreements.
• Process ACH and employee pay stubs.
• Update employee information in payroll accounting software.
• Report and reconcile multi-Union benefits.
• Report and reconcile multi-state and Federal employee taxes.
• Process employee child support and garnishments.
• Assist with state and union audits.
• Address inquiries from employees, unions, and taxing authorities.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

As assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of advanced payroll experience.
• College level courses in payroll, accounting or business preferred.
• Experience processing payroll in construction industry preferred.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint software a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
• Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality.
