NORD is seeking a high-performing Application Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical problems, influencing product improvement, and becoming a recognized expert in the power transmission industry. This is not a routine support role. This position directly impacts customer uptime, product performance, and global service strategy.
You will work on challenging field failures, advanced diagnostics, and high-visibility customer issues while collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive real improvements across our product portfolio.

Lead Technical Problem Solving- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical system issues in industrial drive applications
- Conduct advanced failure analysis and root cause investigations
- Deliver clear, data-driven technical conclusions and corrective recommendations
- Act as a senior-level technical resource supporting customers, sales teams, service partners, and global subsidiaries
- Provide high-level application consulting and system performance optimization
- Mentor and elevate the capabilities of first-level technical support teams
- Exposure to diverse industries and complex applications
- Direct customer visibility and measurable performance impact
- Strong pathway into technical leadership, product management, or global service leadership roles
- Access to advanced diagnostic technologies and ongoing technical development
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology
Experience: 5+ years’ experience with electrical and mechanical power transmission products
Skills and Key Attributes:
- Ability to learn basic inverter programming and industrial wiring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Professional, positive team player
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently without supervision
