Graber Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of our products to our valued customers. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the shipping process, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products on time.
Responsibilities- Order Verification:
Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure that the correct products and quantities are prepared for shipment. - Packaging:
Properly and securely package products for safe transport, taking into consideration product fragility and size. - Labeling:
Generate and affix shipping labels, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and compliant with shipping regulations. - Documentation:
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms as necessary. - Communication:
Communicate with internal teams, including the production department and customer service, to facilitate smooth order fulfillment. - Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping and logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance is a plus.
