As a Commercial Technician, you’ll take the lead in building and assembling commercial units and accessories using current drawings and specifications. You’ll be involved in every step of the process — from materials and assembly to testing and quality — ensuring our products meet Renew Aire’s high standards.
- Assemble commercial units and accessories accurately and efficiently
- Inspect work during assembly and complete required quality documentation
- Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and build instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools safely and correctly
- Meet build schedules and estimated labor hours
- Support insulation and production needs as required
- Complete documentation such as non‑conformance reports, part shortages, and engineering changes
- Participate in cross‑training and stay current on build processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Take initiative to solve problems and suggest improvements to processes, tools, and work spaces
- Remain flexible and assist with other tasks as production demands change
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Wear required PPE and report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately
- Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates
- Give and receive feedback with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset
- Show up on time, stay engaged throughout your shift, and support team goals

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform basic math and read measurements (inches and feet)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with portable power tools and machine tools (band saw, panel saw, chop saw, grinder)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance and punctuality
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and use hands. Fine motor skills are required for many functions, especially for wiring components and detailed assembly tasks. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. For items over 50 lbs., an assisted device or coworker is used. Personal protective equipment may be required depending on tasks.
The employee must be able to conduct the required functions of the job, including understanding issues, problems, and opportunities, making sound decisions, and providing timely feedback to customers and colleagues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving subassembly parts, fumes, and airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Work is performed in a temperature‑controlled environment designed for employee comfort and safety. The facility is equipped with noise control measures, resulting in minimal distractions and a steady work atmosphere.
