Packaging Specialist

Spherion Staffing has partnered with a beverage manufacturer in Waunakee to find five dedicated Packaging Specialists to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the bottling, canning, and kegging lines running smoothly while ensuring every product meets high quality standards.   1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Monday through Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)

• Safely operate and monitor high-speed bottling, canning, variety pack, and kegging machinery.
• Execute efficient equipment changeovers and perform minor preventative machine maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Verify production volumes and review product mixes prior to starting each packaging run.
• Collect product samples and take precise quality measurements to ensure all packaging meets strict brand standards.
• Document runtime data accurately at your assigned packaging station.
• Safely operate a forklift to move finished goods and materials between the production floor and warehouse storage.
• Maintain a pristine, organized workspace while strictly following all safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Prior experience with machine operation or quality control in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred. With a bonus if it is in the food or dairy space!
• Physical Capabilities:
  Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods (8+ hours) and safely lift up to 55 lbs, or move up to 165 lbs with assistance as required.
• Skills & Attributes:
  Strong eye for detail, excellent organizational habits, and the agility to adapt well to a fast-paced production environment.
• Technical Savvy:
  Basic proficiency with computer programs and Microsoft Office.
• Professionalism:
  High level of reliability, schedule flexibility, and a strong commitment to maintaining business confidentiality.
