The QTI Group is partnering with a growing, global manufacturing organization in the greater Madison area to hire their next Industrial Engineer. This position will play an integral role in the design, development and implementation of cost-effective manufacturing processes, methods and layouts. The Industrial Engineer will partner with production, maintenance and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and build production capability.
Responsibilities- Design, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements, equipment, materials, and production methods.
- Improve operational efficiency through workflow analysis, facility layout planning, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure product and process quality by developing testing methods, establishing standards, and validating manufacturing capabilities.
- Analyze production, labor, and material data to support cost estimation, capacity planning, and data-driven decision making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, partnering cross-functionally to enhance safety, productivity, equipment reliability, and overall operational performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing operation with focus on continuous improvement approaches
- Experience with CAD programs (Solid Works, AutoCAD or similar) is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or PMP certification strongly desired
