Description
- Assist with training assembly support team members.
- Lead Kaizen meetings to assist employees in generating and implementing continuous improvement ideas.
- Observe work performed by team members to uncover opportunities for process improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring that all training is being tracked and updated in the training logs
- Check quality of work performed by employees assigned to the Production Scheduling department.
- Train on and root-cause QN’s, CAR’s and engineering changes and on regular basis.
- Work with the department supervisor to ensure company goals are being achieved.
- Assist the department supervisor with employee performance evaluations.
- Interface with supervisors, leads, and operators in other departments.
- Be an active participant in the company’s suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost savings programs.
- Ensure on time delivery of orders and Rush 12 orders.
- Assist as a back up for Assembly Support as needed.
- Assist as a back up for Production Scheduling.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience:
Three years of assembly experience in a production environment. Previous leadership experience preferred. - Skills and Key Attributes:
Be adaptable to changing requirements, able to multitask, maintain a professional and positive attitude, work well in a team, and also independently. Have the ability to adapt to new technologies, possess strong problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be self‑motivated, have good computer skills, be creative, adaptive, and assertive. Additionally, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret blueprints, use precision measuring equipment, pay great attention to detail, and also be capable of leading other employees.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 8-12 hours per day.
The Assembly Support Team Lead is responsible for working closely with the Production Scheduling Leadership to improve pulling efficiency, quality and on time. Work with the department supervisor to ensure company goals are being achieved. Verifies training of the assembly support and fostering a continuous improvement environment focused on process improvements.
