Cellanie Farms is a 140-acre, organic‑in‑transition, reduced‑till market farm located 5 miles north of Madison in the Town of Westport, WI. We have built a regenerative, tractor‑scale, diversified vegetable farm and perennial fruit orchard on approximately 30 acres. We offer weekly produce subscriptions and attend farmers markets throughout the growing season.
Cellanie’s mission is to re‑connect individuals to their food, and the land from which that food is grown. We intend to be good stewards of the land while producing nutrient‑dense, delicious food for our local community. Celebration of local food production provides an opportunity for community connection and is a core principle guiding Cellanie Farm’s mission.
Job SummaryCellanie Farms is seeking individuals eager to learn about and practice regenerative farming techniques at a commercial scale. The full‑time seasonal farm crew role offers opportunity to work with an experienced team to grow delicious, nutritious and diversified produce. Crew members will participate in all aspects of growing produce. This is a great position for someone who wants to work hard and experience the benefits that regenerative farming brings to human and environmental health.
- The ideal start date is mid‑April with steady work anticipated through September 2026.
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday – Friday 8am-4pm.
- Weekend work and evening work may be necessary for markets.
- Planting and seeding crops.
- Weed, harvest, wash and pack produce.
- Deep clean and maintain pack shed and all associated logs.
- Maintain accurate logs.
- Follow direction from management and included in SOPs.
- Assist in training new crew members and volunteers.
- Assist in the orchard.
- Previous experience as an outdoor laborer a plus.
- Must be a hard worker with ability to work consistently to meet performance expectations.
- Reliable and flexible with a can‑do attitude.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be active throughout the day with frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Must be prepared to work in all types of weather.
- A desire to learn about organic vegetable farming and get your hands dirty.
- Ability to work on a small team and follow directions well.
- Communicate clearly and frequently with team.
Competitive wage between $16-$19/hour depending on experience.
