Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery to support production uptime, quality, and on-time delivery. The technician applies mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise while following all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Equipment & Machinery Maintenance Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on fabrication equipment including press brakes, lasers, punches, weld cells, saws, and paint line systems

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per established schedules

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and basic automation components

Align, adjust, and calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance and quality

Support equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations

Facility Maintenance Maintain facility systems such as compressed air, HVAC, lighting, and basic plumbing

Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs as needed

Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and plant safety procedures

Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors

Maintain compliance with electrical and mechanical safety standards

Documentation & Communication Accurately document maintenance work, parts usage, and downtime

Communicate equipment status and repair timelines to production leadership

Recommend improvements to maintenance practices and equipment reliability

Continuous Improvement Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures

Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, maintenance costs, and safety risks

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience with fabrication equipment (press brakes, lasers, punches)

Communication & Collaboration Works effectively with production and leadership teams.

Clearly explains equipment issues and repair timelines

Suggests process and equipment improvements

Participates in lean, TPM, or reliability initiatives
