Automation and Controls Systems Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation and Systems Maintenance Specialist to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our critical production infrastructure. You will play a vital role in optimizing process control systems, performing complex troubleshooting, and maintaining the technical integrity of our manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Execute startup procedures and routine performance analysis on utility and production support systems to maximize operational uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with PLC-controlled equipment, ensuring seamless integration across production and solvent recovery processes.
- Perform comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and ensure consistent output quality.
- Calibrate instrumentation and control components to maintain high precision in automated manufacturing environments.
- Lead the installation and integration of new instrumentation, PLC upgrades, and system expansions to support facility growth.
- Document maintenance activities and system modifications to ensure full compliance with rigorous industry standards.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Professional certification such as CCST (Level
1), ISA, Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, or Licensed Journeyman Electrician. - Demonstrated proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within a regulated production setting.
- 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation or automated systems maintenance.
- Advanced technical knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC platforms and industrial control architecture.
- Proven ability to interpret complex electrical diagrams and technical schematics for system repairs.
