Position Overview
We’re hiring a Maintenance Tech 2 to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of our healthcare and residential facilities. This role maintains a clean, safe, and operational environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to unanticipated facility needs to minimize risk and service disruption.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and local, state, and national codes.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple disciplines, including:
- Electrical: lighting, outlets, switches, panels, ATS, EPSS testing, medium voltage systems.
- Plumbing: fixtures, valves, faucets, toilets, drains.
- HVAC: filters, coils, compressors, VFDs.
- Power Plant Systems: boilers, chillers, water softeners.
- General Maintenance: carpentry, painting, workspace modifications, fire/smoke wall repairs.
- Groundskeeping: snow removal, exterior building upkeep.
- Patient Care Equipment: fire detection systems, pneumatic tube systems.
- Backup Systems: generators, UPS, SCADA, Power Logic software.
- Mentor and coach other technicians.
- Maintain inventory and documentation of parts and repairs.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend emergencies.
- Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general property maintenance.
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software.
- Effective communication with coworkers, residents, families, and contractors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, stooping, bending, etc.).
