Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Per Diem

Join the Optum Onsites team! We deliver employer‑based primary care focused on whole‑person health, not occupational health services. This role is based in Waupaca with occasional coverage in Marinette, supporting care teams during PTO and continuing education.

• Deliver the highest quality primary‑care services, including wellness and preventive physical exams, acute care of minor illness and injuries, chronic disease management and longitudinal care, lifestyle and well‑being counseling, and medical management of behavioral health conditions.

• One of the following licensures with Full Practice Authority (FPA):
  Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP, or Certified Physician Assistant through the NCCPA.
• Active DEA registration and current CPR certification.
• 2+ years of clinical experience as an NP or PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency or urgent‑care settings.
• Experience using computers for professional communication and electronic health record systems.
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between Waupaca and Marinette as needed.

• Experience using Athena EMR for medical documentation.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting.

Hourly pay ranges from $52.64 to $78.85, including base pay and bonus. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, and experience, and may increase over time based on productivity and performance.
