Job Overview

The RN Clinical Nurse provides patient‑centered, evidence‑based nursing care across the continuum, collaborating with an interprofessional team to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Full time, benefit eligible. 30 hours per week divided into 2–12hour shifts week one and 3–12hour shifts week two. Day shift, 7:00am–7:00pm. 3rd weekend on holiday rotation. Overtime exempt:

• Utilize the nursing process, evidence‑based practice, and specific competencies to assess patients’ physical condition and nursing needs.
• Develop and implement a collaborative plan of care with patients and the interprofessional team.
• Provide specialty‑specific care in a manner that is age appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
• Identify ways to improve patient experience, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality.
• Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring and development to retain expert clinicians.
• Consult and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other team members to problem‑solve and improve patient care.
• Demonstrate proactive risk management to prevent crises.
• Perform competently in life‑threatening emergencies, matching demands and resources during crisis situations.

• Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• BSN required for non‑BSN nurses within 5 years of hire if less than 1 year of RN experience.
• American Heart Association ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) completion within 18 months for nurses with 1 year of ED experience, with maintenance every 4 years.

• Move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling) and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing duties.
• Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for patient procedures.

• Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical shock.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
• Occasional contact with aggressive or combative patients.
• Standing and walking for extended periods; moving patients and equipment with proper body mechanics.
