Central Wisconsin Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, student-focused leader to serve as School Counselor. This role provides vision and leadership for a comprehensive student support program (4K–12), integrating academic guidance, social-emotional support, and college/career readiness.
The School Counselor ensures every student is known, supported, and equipped to grow in faith, learning, and life purpose.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a comprehensive, data-informed student services program for all students (4K–12)
- Align academic, social-emotional, and spiritual support systems
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and families to support student success
- Provide short-term counseling and proactive programming (classroom lessons, small groups)
- Equip students with academic, relational, and coping skills
- Partner with families and staff to address student needs
- Guide student academic planning and monitor progress toward graduation
- Lead college and career readiness efforts, including postsecondary planning
- Use student data to support informed decision‑making
- Partner with ESS staff and school leadership to support intervention systems (RTI/MTSS)
- Advocate for students in support meetings and planning processes
- Serve on the CWC Care Team and Education Committee
- Use data (achievement, attendance, behavior) to assess program effectiveness
Communicate outcomes and continuously improve services
- Desire to welcome and disciple students and their families from all Christian traditions with a desire that all people will receive salvation by grace through faith (2 Peter 3:9, Ephesians 2:8)
- Hold a Master’s degree in School Counseling from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Possesses appropriate certifications as required by the State of Wisconsin and accrediting agencies
- Experience in school counseling, student services, or educational leadership (preferred)
- Exhibits strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to classroom dynamics
- Ability to communicate effectively as a writer and a speaker in a variety of contexts
- Will enroll own school age children at CWC, unless approved otherwise
