Position Title: CNC Machinist
Wage: $23.50/hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 11:00 pm - 07:00 am

Responsibilities- Operate and monitor 1–2 CNC machine cells daily
- Load and unload parts using hoists, bins, baskets, and trays
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using tools such as micrometers, gauges, comparators, and surface testers
- Read routers, work instructions, and production schedules
- Record inspection and production data accurately
- Make minor machine adjustments (tool/inserts changes, offsets as needed)
- Verify machine settings (feeds, speeds, pressure, cycle times)
- Identify quality issues and assist in reducing scrap and defects
- Maintain tooling and organize tool storage systems
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies
- Complete training and required assessments
- Set up and operate multiple machining cells across all areas
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, inserts, and work-holding equipment
- Adjust machining parameters (feeds, speeds, pressures, cycle times) for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor maintenance
- Analyze scrap trends and implement corrective actions
- Improve setup efficiency and reduce downtime
- Train and mentor Level 1 machinists
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of machining processes and equipment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or machining experience (or equivalent training)
- Level 2 requires prior CNC setup and troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints, routers, and technical instructions
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools
- Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, metric conversions)
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods
