Job DetailsWI-Waupun Memorial Hospital – Patient Care Worker (PRN)
Job Highlights- Schedule is 7a.m. – 3p.m.
- Minimum of 2 shifts per month required.
- Monitor telemetry and check vitals when patients exercise in the gym.
- ACLS certification required.
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Applies evidence‑based practice to deliver patient‑centered nursing care.
- Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to evolving health needs.
- Maintains constant alertness and ensures a safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent educational background for licensing.
ExperienceOne year of registered nurse experience.
Physical Requirements- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent visual, hearing, and olfactory use for patient care.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50lbs.
- Occasional patient movement and repetitive motions.
- Occasional driving.
- Rare crawling and running.
- Illinois – BLS HCP (American Heart Association) and Registered Professional Nurse (RN) issued by Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
- Missouri – BLS HCP (American Heart Association) and Registered Nurse (RN) issued by Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Oklahoma – BLS HCP (American Heart Association) and Registered Nurse (RN) issued by Compact State; or RN issued by Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Wisconsin – BLS HCP (American Heart Association) and Registered Nurse (RN) issued by Compact State; or RN issued by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
