Role:
Manages women’s services activities, workflow, and nursing resources to deliver woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care.
Responsibilities:Develops individualized care plans based on health data, coordinates and evaluates care delivery, and employs evidence-based practices. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, serving as a mentor and role model. Ensures safety, cultural competence, and environmental health standards are maintained. Participates in quality improvement and adheres to current professional standards and regulations.
Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing program; no prior experience required.
Skills & Duties:Performs clinical assessments, patient advocacy, health education, and ethical decision-making. Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practices, and ensures safe, effective, and culturally sensitive care. Physical requirements include constant standing, walking, communication, and occasional lifting of patients and equipment.
Licenses &Certifications:
Valid RN license, BLS, and ALS or equivalent certifications (NRP, PALS, or NRP Essentials), with specific requirements depending on the state of practice.
