We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse to join our correctional healthcare team. In this role, you will play a critical part in medication administration and medication management while providing safe, quality care in a secure healthcare environment.

What You'll DoAdminister staff-controlled medications to patients within designated housing units.
Pass Keep on Person (KOP) medications according to facility policies and procedures.
Audit medication carts to ensure medications are organized, secured, and accurately accounted for.
Coordinate medication transfers when patients move between housing units or buildings.
Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs) and nursing documentation.
Follow all medication management, security, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, correctional staff, and members of the healthcare team.
Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and changes in condition.
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned to support facility operations.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
Current, unrestricted LVN/LPN license in the state of practice.
Experience with medication administration and medication management.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while following established policies and procedures.
Comfortable working in a secure correctional healthcare environment.
Willingness to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or skilled nursing.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
ScheduleUp to 40 hours per week
1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Weekend and holiday rotation required
