Position

Summary

Operates company equipment for unloading, loading, and transporting agriculture and energy related products to and from the location or customer sites to achieve profitable business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Operate all assigned vehicles, single axle configuration forklifts, etc. in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
  • Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre‑trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Follow the preventative maintenance program and keep the truck clean to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products safely onto trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or by forklift truck.
  • Ensure loads are evenly balanced and distributed from the front of the trailer to the back and from side to side, check axle weights, and maintain them in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Meet delivery and pickup time schedules and perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the company and the industry.
  • Complete all associated documentation—bill of ladings, delivery slips, invoices—and return them to the branch location at the end of the day to ensure timely receiving and payment of invoices.
  • Complete necessary paperwork including accurate logbooks, records of cargo, and other assigned record‑keeping duties on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that the annual inspection and company‑required licenses and permits for the assigned vehicle are current and stored in the vehicle.
  • Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or the equivalent thereof.
  • At least 1 year or more of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to safely operate equipment and meet company standards.
  • Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge and collaboration.
