Our client, a growing and innovative manufacturing organization just west of Wausau, WI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you will support essential accounting functions and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.
This is a full-time, direct hire position that is initially fully onsite. Once initial training period is completed in 6-12 months a hybrid work schedule with up to 3 days remote is offered. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered.
Primary Responsibilities- Enter and maintain purchase orders
- Process payroll for 130+ employees using ADP
- Provide support and backup coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Maintain lease records and ensure accuracy of related documentation
- Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations
- Support special accounting and finance projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience processing payroll a plus
