Construction Superintendent
Trillium Construction is hiring for a Superintendent in Wausau, WI for a Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use construction projects in the area!
Duties:
- Lead field operations from project startup through closeout.
- Manage subcontractors, schedules, labor, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards while maintaining high-quality work.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts; coordinate RFIs, submittals, meetings, and inspections.
- Identify and resolve field issues, constructability concerns, and schedule impacts.
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, photos, and project documentation.
- Oversee quality control, punch lists, and project closeout.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers.
Compensation:
- Annual salary between $120,000 - $160,000
- M/V/D benefits, life insurance, STD/LTD, and 401(k) w/ match
- Company vehicle & gas card, or vehicle allowance
- Annual bonus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade, technical, or engineering background preferred.
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally on $5M–$15M projects.
- Experience managing field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and construction best practices.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and ability to travel up to two hours to project sites.
