The Specialist, Training Video Production is responsible for planning, producing, and editing high-quality training and simulation-based video content that supports instructional delivery and immersive safety training. This position works with College Leadership, CSSC staff, and external partners to create realistic, multi-screen simulation videos and educational media aligned with learning and training objectives.
Note: This position is a Limited-Term Employment (LTE) position with a projected end date of June 30, 2027.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are essential for this position. Responsibilities are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Video & Simulation Project Planning (Pre-Production)
- Define project scope, priorities, timelines, and technical requirements in collaboration with College Leadership, CSSC staff, and external partners.
- Support scenario and instructional content development to ensure alignment with learning and training objectives.
- Video Production (Academic & Simulation)
- Produce training and simulation-based video content in on-campus, off-site, and real-world environments.
- Coordinate with staff and external participants to support accurate and effective video capture.
- Operate professional video and audio recording equipment and edit digital media using industry-standard software to produce high-quality instructional and simulation content.
- Adjust production approaches as needed to address environmental, safety, and logistical constraints.
- Post-Production & Immersive Media Development
- Edit and assemble video and audio content into completed instructional and simulation deliverables.
- Produce immersive and multi-screen simulation media requiring synchronization, sequencing, and continuity.
- Prepare finalized media for review, revision, and distribution.
- Media Management & Distribution
- Manage digital media assets, including organization, storage, backup, and version control.
- Publish approved content to designated platforms for internal and external audiences.
- Collaboration, Consultation & Technical Support
- Communicate with staff, CSSC team members, IT, and external partners to coordinate projects and resolve issues.
- Equipment & Production Resource Management
- Ensure availability and appropriate use of video, audio, and production equipment.
- Coordinate equipment needs and technical support to maintain efficient production workflows.
In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.
Education: Associate's Degree (or Equivalent) in Video Production or related field
Experience: 1 Year
Additional Experience Information:
Experience using AI and Photoshop in post-production and Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred.
