Job Overview

Customer Support Specialist (Call Center) – Full Time

Location:

327 North 17th Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401, United States

Schedule:

40 hours per week, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm CST, Monday through Friday

Position type:
Regular, Full‑time, Non‑exempt

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for bank customers using telephone and email, and support online chat (Banno) and electronic banking platforms.
  • Act as a customer ambassador, delivering high‑quality experiences that reflect the bank’s brand.
  • Engage customers by keeping their best interests in mind and exceeding expectations.
  • Maintain a customer‑satisfaction mindset, staying personally accountable to customer‑centric behaviors and attitudes.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied at the conclusion of each interaction.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of bank products and services, including consumer and business online banking, the mobile app, mobile deposit, consumer bill pay, debit and credit cards, and eStatements.
  • Perform timely follow‑through on customer requests, preparing and submitting maintenance with proper documentation.
  • Participate in the implementation of departmental and bank‑wide strategic initiative projects to enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Two to five years of experience in a customer‑service role, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
  • High degree of resourcefulness and adaptability.
