Customer Service Representative

Southport Engineered Systems is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our mechanical contracting projects in HVAC, plumbing, and process systems. In this role, you will handle inbound calls and emails from commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, schedule service requests, create and update work orders, and coordinate with field technicians and project managers. You'll track job status, resolve routine issues, and provide accurate information with a strong focus on safety, quality, and professionalism.

This position offers exposure to complex building systems and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound client calls and emails regarding HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical service needs
• Create, update, and track work orders in the service/CRM system
• Schedule and dispatch technicians in coordination with project managers and service leaders
• Provide status updates and follow-up communication to commercial and institutional clients
• Accurately document service details, parts, and timing in company systems
• Assist with quotes, basic order entry, and contract or maintenance agreement inquiries
• Escalate technical or complex issues to appropriate internal teams
• Support a safety- and quality-focused culture in every client interaction
