Job Summary
This is a paid position through work-study or student employment and allows students to grow in leadership, professional and soft skills, and will be paid an hourly rate of $14.00. Tutor positions will report to Manager, Learning Commons.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Assisting students in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in a given subject area between 1-10 hours per week in both one‑on‑one and small‑group settings.
- Under the direction of Timberwolf Learning Commons leadership, coordinate with academic areas and instructors to aid students in meeting learning competencies.
- Document student progress and session data for grant purposes and market Academic Resource Center in classes and to the college community.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Must be an active student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
- Students are not permitted to work in Federal Work‑Study positions during scheduled class times.
- Faculty recommendation and earned "B" or above in tutor's chosen subject area.
- Strong organizational and written and oral communication skills.
- Warm, professional, and helpful interpersonal style.
- Familiarity with Canvas, Starfish, and Zoom.
