Our client is a growing engineering and automation company specializing in the design and build of custom production line equipment. Our team partners with manufacturers to develop innovative, reliable mechanical systems that improve efficiency and performance.

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment and enjoys designing custom machinery from concept through production.

This is not a remote role. Position is in Central Wisconsin, and for tenure purposes, we are seeking candidate with strong ties to the area.

• Design custom mechanical equipment from concept to release.
• Modify and improve existing machine designs.
• Create detailed 3D models and mechanical drawings using Solid Works.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create and manage drawing lists for projects.
• Update drawings, layouts, BOMs, and documentation based on shop and assembly feedback.
• Provide technical support to shop floor and assembly teams.
• Develop proposal drawings for customer bids.
• Capture project documentation (photos/videos) as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful project execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally in custom machinery or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong proficiency in Solid Works (solid modeling).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.
  
  Experience creating and maintaining BOMs.
• Strong understanding of machine design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with automated production line equipment.
• Familiarity with fabrication and assembly environments.
• Experience supporting proposal or customer-facing engineering work.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards.
