This role focuses on developing sophisticated CAN bus architectures and multiplexed systems for mission‑critical mobile equipment. As an Electrical Engineer, you will bridge the gap between initial sales specifications and final production, ensuring every vehicle meets rigorous safety and performance standards.
Execute detailed electrical schematic drawings for complex wire harness designs and vehicle systems.
Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and Solid Works.
Perform electrical load analysis reports to ensure system stability and reliability under extreme operating conditions.
Coordinate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot electro‑mechanical issues and provide technical shop‑floor support.
Ensure all designs and system configurations strictly comply with NFPA guidelines and industry safety standards.
Manage revision control and engineering documentation for custom customer orders within a fast‑paced production schedule.
Drive future technology initiatives by evaluating and integrating emerging electrical components and power management systems.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent experience (5-7 years) in mobile equipment design will be considered.
Proficiency in Solid Works 3D and AutoCAD for electrical system layout and schematic generation.
Deep technical understanding of CAN bus protocols, multiplexing, and heavy‑duty vehicle electrical architecture.
Direct experience with NFPA standards or similar regulatory frameworks for specialized mobile machinery.
Hands‑on familiarity with Parker IQAN mobile controller software and Cummins Engine Diagnostics is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and fabrication processes to support electro‑mechanical integration.
Advanced computing skills, including experience with Microsoft Access and Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems.
