Commercial Banking Administrator – Full‑Time (40 hrs/week) located at 327 North 17th Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401. The position is full‑time, regular, exempt.
About the RoleThe role partners with team members and stakeholders to provide excellent client experiences in commercial banking. Responsibilities include preparing business loan documentation, coordinating with third parties, and managing loan closings.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare thorough business loan documentation in strict adherence to the bank’s policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of commercial loan products, covering the entire process from application receipt to closing, funding, and integration into the core system.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert on consumer and commercial loan transactions, including commercial real estate and special lending requests.
- Prepare and coordinate executed loan packets for booking and ensure booking occurs within three business days of document signing.
- Coordinate loan transactions with third parties, including appraisers, title companies, real estate agents, and others.
- Handle customer correspondence, including RFPs, proposals, commitment letters, financial reporting requests, and covenant waivers.
- Serve as the primary or secondary contact for business customers, addressing inquiries related to loan history, payment applications, transfers, stop payments, wires, and more.
- Attend and assist with loan closings and customer calls as needed.
- Coordinate with the Credit Department to ensure timely and efficient underwriting of new loan requests, renewals, and modifications.
- Maintain Business Banking Officers’ loan production, fee income, pipeline, and call or referral reports via the bank’s CRM.
- Interpret and understand credit approvals, due diligence, title commitments, formation documents, and related documents.
- 3‑5 years of experience in business loan and legal documentation, and the business lending process.
- Intermediate knowledge of lending regulations and closing procedures, title and insurance policies.
- Proficiency with bank core processing software, including Baker Hill, Nex Gen, Laser Pro, and Jack Henry Silver Lake.
- Self‑motivated, detail oriented, and capable of presenting information and addressing questions from managers, customers, and the public.
Regular full‑time salaried exempt position, averaging approximately 40 hours/week. Schedule may vary between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm CDT, Monday through Friday. The position is on‑site at the branch location on 17th Avenue, Wausau, WI.
