Position Overview /Duties

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Qualified candidates may be called for an interview.

  • Provide timely and authoritative advice to the DE, Regulatory Chief, other supervisors and staff on tribal and historical consultation requirements, guidance, protocols, and best practices.
  • Serve as the District Regulatory tribal and cultural resources liaison.
  • Participate in government-to-government consultations with various Native American tribes with interest in projects affecting properties and resources for which they consider to be important to their heritage.
  • Mentor and assist project managers on the roles and responsibilities for the Regulatory Division concerning NHPA and tribal trust issues, including regulatory scope of analysis and permit area definitions as it relates to these issues.
  • Provide expert technical advice and assistance to Regulators throughout the division on complex issues.
