Aspirus Business Health in Wausau, WI is seeking an ATHLETIC TRAINER to join our BUSINESS HEALTH team.
This position is open to hiring one of the following: PT, PTA, OT, COTA or Athletic Trainer.
At Aspirus Business Health Industrial Rehab, we specialize in helping employees recover from personal and workplace injuries and return safely to meaningful work. Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to evidence‑based care, functional outcomes, and creating a safe, supportive environment for both patients and employers.
We are seeking a motivated Industrial Rehabilitation Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for industrial rehabilitation, functional testing, and injury prevention. This role involves evaluating and treating injured workers, developing individualized return‑to‑work programs, new hire testing and collaborating closely with employers, physicians, and case managers to facilitate optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on functional restoration and safe return to work.
- Perform ergonomic assessments and job‑site analyses as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and employers.
- Document progress and outcomes accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Educate clients on safe work techniques, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies.
HOURS: .6 FTE/48 hours per pay period/every two weeks working day shift hours, Monday-Friday
- Specific schedule to be discussed with manager
- Licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC) in the state of WI.
- Experience in industrial rehabilitation, work conditioning, or ergonomics preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Possesses and maintains a valid Driver’s License required.
- Possesses automobile liability insurance with $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single‑limit liability.
