Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a FLOOR CARE SPECIALIST to join our ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES team!

The Floor Care Specialist provides a clean and bacteriologically safe environment for patients, staff and visitors at Wausau Hospital. Must be able to follow all applicable policies, procedures, schedules, sanitation and safety requirements.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day

Shift: 7AM - 3PM, Every 3rd Weekend and Holiday Rotation.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping standards and practices normally acquired through a demonstrated ability to read, write, and remember/follow verbal or written instructions.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent beneficial.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping department beneficial.
• Must be able to participate in 10 minutes of general stretching exercises at the beginning of each shift.
• Demonstrates proficiency in operating numerous pieces of floor care equipment such as high speed buffer, automatic scrubbing machine, carpet extractor and wet vacs.
• Possesses the ability to perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on floor care equipment.
