The Analyst, Research & AI Data Systems supports institutional research and regional workforce initiatives through data integration, analytics, and applied AI implementation. This position has two primary areas of responsibility: (1) collaborate with the Institutional Research team to create data analyses, reporting tools, and AI-enabled solutions that support decision-making, student success, and strategic planning; and (2) support the Data Governance process.

The Analyst also collaborates with Workforce Training & Professional Development and the Central Wisconsin AI Center to provide technical assistance to business and industry partners, including assessing organizational data needs, developing data and AI roadmaps, and supporting the practical implementation of analytics and AI solutions.

• Data Integration & Decision Support – Design, implement, and maintain interactive visualizations that aggregate data across systems (e.g., Workday, Canvas, Starfish, external labor market tools), ensuring usability for internal stakeholders.
• AI & Automation Tools – Deploy AI and machine learning techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, natural language summarization, automated reporting) to enhance analytic rigor and streamline institutional research processes, in collaboration with Information Technology and Institutional Research.
• Data Analysis & Research – Conduct complex qualitative and quantitative analyses on student success, program health, workforce outcomes, and institutional initiatives; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Data Governance & Stewardship – Contribute to data governance practices by helping manage data quality, lineage, and stewardship activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
