Desktop Support Engineer at Sentinel Wausau, WI

Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking a motivated and customer focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide high quality onsite technical support for one of our clients in Wausau. This role you will be a key point of contact for end users ensuring desktops and laptops are secure fully functional and supported with exceptional service. The ideal candidate enjoys handson troubleshooting takes pride in their work and represents Sentinel with professionalism at all times.

• Provide onsite technical support for desktop and laptop hardware and software issues
• Troubleshoot repair and replace computer equipment as needed
• Perform system reimaging and deployments (SCCM experience preferred)
• Ensure systems are properly configured patched and secure
• Transport and set up IT equipment between locations as required
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional presence at the client site
• Collaborate closely with team members to resolve issues efficiently

• 13 years of experience in desktop or enduser support
• CompTIA A certification preferred
• Handson experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware
• Experience with system reimaging tools (SCCM strongly preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Reliable transportation required; role involves travel between locations and equipment transport
• Valid drivers license and proof of insurance
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Positive proactive cando attitude
