Job Overview
Accurately define and estimate required components and resources to fulfill work requests, converting requests into orders. Order and monitor material delivery for maintenance work orders, assign and schedule orders with technicians and contractors, and maintain a consistent tracking system for work orders and parts inventory. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish component requirements and schedule proactive maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Review, refine, and convert maintenance work requests into work orders.
- Estimate effort, skills, and cost; obtain quotations from contractors as needed.
- Assign and schedule work orders with technicians and contractors.
- Identify and procure parts for work orders, and monitor part usage.
- Collaborate with maintenance managers and planners to schedule work.
- Develop and maintain detailed plans for preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Document maintenance tasks and schedules in the CMMS.
- Lead the maintenance scheduling process and review maintenance schedules with the support team.
- Manage vendor service contracts and monitor contract compliance.
- Use company credit cards for vendor purchases, with approval following purchasing limits.
- Reconcile end‑of‑month credit card purchases and administer maintenance purchase requests.
- Coordinate janitorial and facility services, outside service inspections, and repairs.
- Research products and services for new equipment installation and repair.
- Support urgent needs during maintenance annual outages and act as a confined space observer when requested.
- Back up other maintenance personnel on select duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and typing.
- Exceptional organizational ability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
