From your PASSION to ours
Responsibilities- As a Maintenance Supervisor, provide leadership to the Maintenance Department in establishing, organizing, planning, and implementing maintenance programs which support the maintenance strategy across all three shifts of the operation.
- Collaborate with all plant departments to align duties with the company's goals and values.
- Lead and supervise tasks related to maintenance programs, including preventive, corrective, predictive, continuous improvement, equipment overhauls, and upgrades; oversee development, training, and certification needs for the site maintenance team and the provision of technical services as needed.
- Coach/mentor Maintenance Planners and Leads to ensure deep dives into breakdown elimination and to support preventive maintenance planning. Monitor PM compliance goals, prioritize work for execution with emphasis on food safety and human safety, and provide coaching on equipment reliability.
- Monitor cash flow per budget (MRO and labor); propose capital projects where appropriate. Manage stockroom costs and ensure critical spare parts and materials are available as needed.
- Provide cross-functional support with the Engineering Department for capital projects, including cost justification, design feedback, and project startup support when local labor is used.
- Support and propose initiatives to reduce utility costs through improved efficiency and procurement practices.
- Pursue new technologies to improve operations on processing lines, packaging lines, and utilities equipment.
- Follow up with facility team leaders on continuous cost reduction and process improvement ideas; perform other responsibilities as needed.
- Manage conservation systems (alarms, security, sprinklers, fire brigade, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulatory guidelines; ensure compliance with PSM guidelines; be a key member of a HAZMAT team.
- Ensure mechanics and maintenance leads have the proper tools (equipment, training, support) to support their areas.
Education
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A major in Engineering is preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years of maintenance supervisor experience is required.
- Food industry experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Packaging Lines and Dryers is preferred.
Certifications and specific knowledge
- Requires intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office, SAP, and AutoCAD to present all documents related to any projects.
