Welder- 2nd shift

WELDER – Wausau, WI

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team at the Wausau location.

• Tack weld body frames and rings
• Weld body frame, rings, and feet
• Stack rotor laminations onto arbors and weld lams
• Read blueprints and follow job specifications
• Approve and reject raw materials based on quality standards and record supplier performance
• Select output and check them using appropriate methods and measuring dimensions, testing functionality, and comparing to specifications
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to follow established procedures for safety, quality, and general assembly
• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher degree from a technical school is a plus
• Certified welder – MIG, TIG, wire feed, aluminum and steel (preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
• Basic computer literacy (preferred)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the physical and mechanical properties of metal as affected by composition
• Knowledge of mechanical work and heat treatments including metal cutting and grinding (desirable)
• Ability to coach and lead others with respect, dignity, and strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Schedule:

2nd shift, Monday – Thursday, 10 hour shifts, 3pm - 1am, Overtime work available
