Job Overview

Production Painter I is an entry-level position in a manufacturing environment responsible for performing basic painting tasks under close supervision. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using standard tools, and ensuring that finished products meet basic quality standards. The candidate is expected to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols while developing foundational skills in industrial painting.

• Basic knowledge of painting processes, including surface preparation such as sanding and masking.
• Familiarity with basic painting tools and equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Ability to follow simple work instructions and paint specifications.
• Attention to detail to ensure even application of paint and basic quality.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and recognition of potential hazards.
• Cross‑training and support of all Painter I roles.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
