As part of our Weekend Production team in Wausau, Wisconsin, you will help prepare and sanitize highly automated manufacturing equipment that fills, labels, and packages probiotic capsules safely and efficiently.

The role & your impact
As a Set-up Technician, you will work closely with fellow technicians to prepare production equipment for operation and help maintain safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on role that combines machine setup, sanitation, troubleshooting, and material handling to support successful production outcomes.
Your key responsibilities in this role
Work with other Set-up Technicians to prepare automated production equipment for operation.
Perform and verify proper sanitation of machine parts and production equipment.
Develop an understanding of each machine's function and the principles behind how the equipment operates.
Handle raw materials and packaging components, including probiotic capsules, cartons, and shipping materials.
Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities to support equipment reliability.
Support team goals by maintaining safe work practices and assisting coworkers as needed.
What you'll need to be successful in this role
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and write English to understand product quality and performance specifications.
Ability to understand general mechanical functions and machine operation.
Ability to stand and walk for most of a 12-hour shift.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Reliable attendance and a consistent work ethic.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Previous manufacturing, production, maintenance, or machine operation experience.

Working conditions
Schedule:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Work arrangement: 100% on-site in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Overtime opportunities are often available but are not required.
Regular standing and walking throughout the workday.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Manufacturing environment with automated production equipment. Hearing protection is available, although ear plugs are not required.
Compensation & benefits
Starting pay: $25.00 per hour plus shift premium.
401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution.
Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time.
