OpportunityRN - Observation Unit
Job Details- Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week assignment starting ASAP
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
- Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum callback
- Work in an 8-bed observation unit with 1:4 patient ratio
- Care for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases
- Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, and Heparin
- Handle high volume of admissions and discharges with average stays up to 48 hours
- Must have 3 years experience and 1 travel assignment required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Background in observation units or MS/Tele units required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
- Must take EKG exam during compliance
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS required, NIHSS highly preferred
- Must be outside 50-mile radius from facility
- Any color scrubs acceptable
- Associate degree or certificate required
- Must wear mask at all times if declining flu and COVID vaccination during flu season
