Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

• Contract length: 13 weeks with Sunday contract end date

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically higher acuity units

• Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back

• 4:1 patient ratio in Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry

• Care for patients with stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke

• Manage primary patients and insulin drips independently in fast-paced environment

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS

• Minimum 2+ years stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience required (firm requirement)

• At least 1 prior travel experience required

• ICU experience and Trauma Level II experience preferred

• Ventilator/trach experience required

• EPIC charting experience preferred

• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Must be resilient, hard-working, and able to manage change well
