Opportunity:

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with ASAP start date

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during orientation week and holidays when unit is closed)

• 12-hour variable shifts including majority , , ,  with occasional flexibility to  and

• PM shifts may start at 11am or 2pm

• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirements

• May be required to float to other locations:
Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley

• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time

• Call back minimum is 2 hours when called in from low census

• Minimum 5 years nursing experience required with at least one year of travel experience (FIRM requirement)

• Trauma Level II experience required

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS

• EPIC charting experience required

• Manage 3-4 patients per nurse in fast-paced trauma environment

• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and working with Pyxis medication dispenser

• Work with stroke certified, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients

• Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, and able to work independently

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Mask requirement during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive Trauma Level II emergency department with 18 beds and stroke certification capabilities. The facility provides full-service emergency care including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory services in a fast-paced environment. The organization maintains in-house laboratory and respiratory therapy services, on-site X-ray staff in the emergency department, and utilizes modern technology including EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support high-quality patient care.
