Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week

• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Float to all inpatient units as needed

• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient area

• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7

• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days

• Must have ability to multi-task, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as a team

• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience

• Trauma Level II experience required

• Prior travel experience required

• Epic EMR charting experience required

• Equipment used:
Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps

• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)

• Associate Degree or Certificate required;
Bachelor's Degree preferred

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

This facility is a fast-paced inpatient hospital offering a wide range of surgical and medical services, including a dedicated Post Surgical Care Unit that supports patients along a continuum of pre and post-surgical care. The facility operates at a high occupancy rate and provides specialty support including Trauma Level II care, making it an excellent environment for experienced medical-surgical nurses seeking a dynamic and challenging clinical setting.
