The Shift Supervisor - RN provides clinical, operational, and supervisory leadership for assigned nursing home units during the PM shift. This position is accountable for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of resident care while supporting nursing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting quality outcomes. The Shift Supervisor serves as a clinical resource, problem solver, and decision-maker, collaborating with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to ensure exceptional care and services.
Compensationand Benefits
- The starting pay ranges from $43.91 - $47.82 per hour based on experience and education.
- This role is full-time and in person, working 3pm – 11pm Monday - Friday or four 10 hour shifts of 1pm – 12am during the week.

- Associate’s degree in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Current BLS Certification
- More than 2 years of nursing experience
- More than one year of experience in progressively responsible nursing
- Proficient with electronic medical records and computerized documentation
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Four or more years of nursing experience.
- Long‑term care or skilled nursing facility experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Coordinate resident care through implementation, review, and revision of individualized care plans.
- Assess residents when concerns or changes in condition are identified and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
- Ensure significant changes in resident condition are communicated promptly to physicians, residents, responsible parties, and appropriate team members.
- Assist with admission processes, including review of physician orders, assessments, documentation, and care planning.
- Provide direct resident care as needed, including assistance with personal care, transfers, dining services, call lights, and resident supervision.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies, falls, behavioral concerns, codes, and acute changes in resident condition.
- Lead and coordinate staff response during emergency situations.
- Monitor staffing levels and resident care needs throughout the shift.
- Assist with staffing adjustments to ensure adequate coverage and safe resident care.
- Address staffing concerns, employee conflicts, and operational issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure continuity of care and operational effectiveness across all units.
- Maintain regular rounding on assigned units to monitor care delivery, staff performance, and resident needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards of practice.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete audits and monitoring activities to support quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness.
- Escalate safety, compliance, and regulatory concerns to nursing leadership and administration as appropriate.
- Monitor quality indicators and support quality assurance activities.
- Assist with infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, reporting, audits, outbreak response, and staff compliance with infection prevention practices.
