We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Care assignment in Wausau, WI. The RN will provide high‑quality nursing care to residents across multiple care settings, including Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Dementia Care, and Ventilator/Trach units.
This is a fast‑paced role requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent patient care skills, and the flexibility to float between units based on facility needs. Nurses assigned to the Vent/Trach unit must be proficient in suctioning, tube feedings, and wound care.
Responsibilities- Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered nursing care.
- Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, tube feedings, and wound care for Vent/Trach patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Float to Long Term Care, Rehab, Dementia Care, and Vent/Trach units as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies.
- Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact RN License
- Current BLS Certification (required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Long Term Care experience
- Ventilator/Tracheostomy (Vent/Trach) experience is required
- Strong skills in suctioning, tube feedings, and wound care
