Travel RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – Wausau, WI

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2925

Contract Completion Bonus: $500

• Work 12‑hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13‑week contract with 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Subject to low census in 4‑hour increments, eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 on a 44‑bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit
• Fast‑paced environment with high patient turnover
• Care for post‑op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post‑procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablation patients
• Manage acute chest pain/MI and medical/surgical overflow cases including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation
• Must be outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility
• Required certifications:
  Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips mandatory
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
• During flu season, mask required at all times if flu and COVID vaccination declined

• Wisconsin RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one completed travel nursing assignment
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience
