The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading regional healthcare system to recruit Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry Unit in Wausau, Wisconsin.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses looking to strengthen their critical care experience while caring for complex cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary patients in a collaborative step-down environment.

- 12-hour shifts | Every 3rd weekend | Two holidays per year
- 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license
- Current BLS (CPR) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- ACLS required within six months of hire
- Strong commitment to teamwork, learning, and exceptional patient care
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a 44-bed Cardiac Telemetry step-down unit
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Care for patients recovering from heart, vascular, and lung procedures and surgeries
- Manage and monitor patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including:
- Acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction & cardiac arrhythmias
- Congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy & pulmonary embolism
- Pulmonary hypertension, pneumothorax, emphysema & hypertensive urgency
- Peripheral vascular disease & valvular heart disease
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with evidence-based practice and physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
