The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for a high‑acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step‑Down Units.

This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post‑surgical, and telemetry patients—offering exposure to ICU‑level skills in a structured, team‑driven environment.

Schedule:

Full‑Time | Part‑Time | Supplemental

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
  • Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast‑paced setting
  • Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Deliver patient‑centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certification in specialty preferred
  • BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
  • Open to new grads and experienced nurses
  • 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparable setting for experienced nurses
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
