Registered Nurse – Oncology

Wausau, WI

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Oncology unit serving surgical oncology and medical oncology patient populations
• Administer chemotherapy treatments to a small subset of the patient population in accordance with certification requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using an electronic medical records system
• Float to other units as needed to care for patients within scope, including in 4-hour increments prior to staff RNs
• Operate medication scanning equipment and infusion pumps as part of routine patient care
• Collaborate with CNAs and unit technicians to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across all shifts

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Chemotherapy certification
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Oncology nursing experience required
• Previous electronic medical records charting experience required

• 1 year of experience on a Med Surg Oncology unit preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and rover-based medication scanning systems

• Consistent night shift schedule with guaranteed hours and tech support on every shift
