Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse is needed at an inpatient rehab unit in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care for patients with stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac conditions. The role requires flexibility with rotating day and night shifts, with a focus on resilient and adaptable healthcare professionals.
Job Details:
- Schedule:
Rotating 12-hour shifts, approximately 48 hours per week, with preferred days and nights shifts. Every other weekend and holiday rotation. - Required Qualifications:
WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 1 year of hospital inpatient Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience or Medical Surgical background in an inpatient hospital setting (STAC). Experience required in an inpatient hospital environment. - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Epic charting experience. - Float:
Float to all inpatient units as needed. - Additional Information:
The unit has 12 beds with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:8. The role emphasizes hard work, resilience, and change management capabilities. Scrub colors are flexible; GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation. During flu season, declination of vaccination requires mask-wearing at all times, in compliance with policy.
