Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Floor in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care in a post-surgical unit that manages pre and post-operative adult and geriatric patients. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and multitasking skills.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour day shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Wisconsin RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC, at least 2+ years of recent hospital Med Surg experience, trauma level II experience, recent Epic charting experience, and prior travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required to all inpatient units.
• On Call/Call Back:
  The contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be worked in hour increments; this is not considered on call.
• Unit Specific Skillset:
  Post-surgical care in a 40-bed inpatient unit providing a continuum of care for post-operative adult and geriatric patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:4 or 1:5 during day/PM shifts, and 1:5 to 1:7 during night shifts. The unit averages 10-15 admissions per day with high occupancy.
• Additional Information:
  The unit operates in a fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and prioritization abilities, work as a team, and ability to work in any scrub color. The unit uses Epic electronic medical records, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps.
